CVLzconvexhullfillgap
by Tim C. Lueth, SG-Lib Toolbox: SolidGeometry 5.6 - CVLz/Slices
Introduced first in SolidGeometry 4.9.1, Creation date: 2020-08-28, Last change: 2025-09-14
returns a CVLz stack with ONE convexhullcontour in each layer
Description
- CVLzconvexhullfillgap - closes gaps and try to find a SINGLE OUTLINE contour
- CVLzoutlinecontourfillgap - closes gaps but maintain ALL OUTLINE contours
The functions are based on the planar CPLfunctions
- CPLconvexhullfillgap - closes gaps and try to find a SINGLE OUTLINE contour
- CPLoutlinecontour - closes gaps but maintain ALL OUTLINE contours
- CPLfillgap -simply fillgaps

Syntax
CVLz=CVLzconvexhullfillgap(CVLz,[d,slidein])
Input Parameter
CVLz: | | Stack of CPL sort by z values |
d: | | minimal distance for slots inside each CPL |
slidein: | | if true, CVLZ are united with z value; default is false |
Output Parameter
CVLz: | | Stack with Convex hull contours |
Examples
SG=SGsample(52); CVLz=CVLzofSG(SG,20);
CVLzconvexhullfillgap(CVLz,1); % not slots smaller than 1 mm
CVLzconvexhullfillgap(CVLz,1,true); % not slots smaller than 1 mm
