PLtangentcirc3
by Tim C. Lueth, SG-Lib Toolbox: SolidGeometry 5.6 - PL/Point Lists
Introduced first in SolidGeometry 4.2, Creation date: 2018-08-10, Last change: 2025-09-14
returns the a circ segment between p1 and p3 with radius R
Description
A warning of thrown if the function is called without R as 3rd output argument in contrast to PLtangentcirc, this function calculates an outer radius solution instead of throwing a warning

Syntax
[PLE,p2x,R]=PLtangentcirc3([PL,R,maxR])
Input Parameter
PL: | | three points [p1; p2; p3] |
R: | | Desired Radius |
maxR: | | option to maximize the radius |
Output Parameter
PLE: | | Point List to replace 2nd point of the list |
p2x: | | Center Points of the Radius |
R: | | Radius used in PLtangentcirc |
Examples
