ATTENTION: THIS FUNCTION IS INCOMPATIBLE WITH STYLE
alpha=.76; if nargin>=2 && ~isempty(varargin{1}); alpha=varargin{1};
SINCE IT DOES NOT RETURN THE ORIGINAL NUMBER OF ARGINS BUT ONLE THE NUMBER OF VARARGINS
IF USED, ONLY IN COMBINATION WITH getfuncparams
