nofcolmap

returns a number instead of a color string and support more colors than colofn

Description

colmap='kbgcrmyw';
unfortunately, there is a function color of matlab and tim lueth
The colors are extended by values such as
(l)ight, (d)eep, (a)algea, (o)range, (p)purple
